Junk Removal FAQ
Everything people ask us about pricing, scheduling, what we take, and where it goes — answered plainly.
How does OverKnight price a junk removal job?+
We quote one flat price based on how much space your items take up in the truck — not by the hour. You'll know the total before we lift a single box, and most junk removal jobs start at $325. If the scope grows once we're on site, we confirm any adjustment with you before it's added.
How much does junk removal cost in Gainesville?+
Every job is different, so we quote each one individually — but our service minimum is $325, and your flat quote covers labor, hauling, travel, and disposal in one number. Send photos through our quote form and we'll usually have a firm price back to you the same day.
What items do you take?+
Furniture, mattresses and box springs, appliances, electronics, yard debris, construction and renovation debris, hot tubs, pianos, playsets, and just about everything else a full property cleanout turns up. If it's heavy, awkward, or has been piling up for years, that's exactly what we're for.
What can't you take?+
Hazardous materials — paint, chemicals, fuel, asbestos — and anything that requires a specialty license fall outside junk removal. Ask us anyway and we'll point you toward the right disposal option.
What happens to my junk after you haul it away?+
Usable items get routed to local donation centers, electronics go to proper e-waste recycling, and the rest goes to licensed disposal facilities. Responsible disposal is one of our four vows — nothing we haul ends up on a back road.
Do you offer moving services?+
No — OverKnight is a junk removal company, not a moving company. Everything we load is headed for donation, recycling, or disposal. If you need household goods transported from one home to another, a licensed mover is the right call for that job.
What areas do you serve?+
We're based in Gainesville, FL and regularly serve Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona, Ocala, Orlando, Tampa, and surrounding areas. Out-of-town junk removal jobs are welcome — just let us know your location when you request a quote.
How fast can you schedule junk removal?+
Same-week scheduling is typical, and we can sometimes fit next-day or even same-day pickups when the calendar allows. Tell us your timeframe in the quote form and we'll be straight with you about availability.
Do you remove single items, or only full loads?+
Both. A single couch, mattress, or appliance is a perfectly good job for us — and full estate cleanouts, garage clear-outs, and multi-room hauls are our bread and butter.
Do I need to be present for the pickup?+
Not necessarily. As long as we have clear access to the items and confirmed approval on the quote, we can complete most junk removal jobs without you on site.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. OverKnight operates as a fully insured, properly registered junk removal business — not an off-the-books operation. That matters for your liability if something is damaged or improperly disposed of, and we can provide a certificate of insurance on request.
What are your guarantees?+
Every job comes with three guarantees: we arrive within your 2-hour window or take 10% off; we leave your space broom-clean or come back same-day at no charge; and if we cause any property damage, we fix it out of pocket — no runaround.
Do you work with realtors, property managers, and estate sale companies?+
Yes — property cleanouts for listings, turnovers, and estates are a core part of our junk removal work. We can work on your timeline, document jobs with before-and-after photos, and provide a certificate of insurance on request.
How do I get a junk removal quote?+
Use the quote form on our homepage or call (352) 672-3860. A few photos and a short description are usually all we need to send back a firm flat price — most quotes go out the same day.
